One &
Only Ocean Club
Once a private estate,
One&Only Ocean Club rests between miles of pristine beach and
exquisite gardens inspired by the romantic grandeur of Versailles.
Fragrant blossoms of hibiscus and bougainvillea, along with
hand-laid rock ridges and stone steps, ascend the terraced garden
decorated with bronze and marble statues from Europe. At its apex
stands the dramatic arches of a 12th-century Augustinian cloister
that boasts a spectacular view of the sunset over Nassau Harbour.
Within this secluded oasis, exemplary personal service defines the
heart of One&Only Ocean Club.
The oceanside property
was bought in 1962 by Huntington Hartford II, who built the original
52-room resort, restaurant and golf course, and named it Ocean Club.
The addition of the Crescent Wing and Dune restaurant, and the
redevelopment of the Ocean Club Golf Course was completed in 2000. A
full service Spa opened in December, 2001.
One &
Only Ocean Club
features 106
guest rooms, fine dining at Dune and Courtyard Terrace restaurants,
poolside dining at the Pool Terrace Café, a full-service spa, a
family pool and separate adults-only swimming pool, six Har-Tru
tennis courts (four lit for night play), a fitness center,
complimentary non-motorized water sports and bicycles for island
touring, the 18-hole championship Ocean Club Golf Course and miles
of pristine beach.
Complimentary wireless Internet service is now available at several
locations throughout the resort.
