A Victoria House wedding is the fantasy of a lifetime come true! In today's busy world, planning a wedding can take such enormous effort that the idea of "eloping" and marrying on a tropical island is very appealing, especially when it takes place in the romantic setting of Victoria House. Our experienced wedding planners will guide you through the wedding packages, customize them to suit your needs and arrange for everything but the warm sand beach and tropical sunsets, we leave that to nature. All you need are your documents and reservations.

Legal Requirements for non-resident marriage in Belize

If neither of the parties has been previously married:

1) Fully completed marriage license application form notarized by a J.P.

2) Photocopy of front 2 pages of passport and page showing arrival date into Belize

3) ONE of the parties MUST be in the country 3 days prior to filing the petition of the license.

If either or both have been previously married:

1) Fully completed marriage license application form notarized by a J.P.

2) Photocopy of 2 pages of passport and page showing arrival date into Belize.

3) One of the parties MUST be in the country 3 days prior to filling the petition of the license.

4) Final divorce decree. Must be the certified ORIGINAL.

If either of both parties is a widow or widower:

1) Fully completed marriage license application form notarized by a J.P.

2) Photocopy of 2 pages of passport and page showing arrival date into Belize

3) One of the parties MUST be in the country 3 days prior to filling the petition of the license.

4) Copy of the ORIGINAL death certificate.

Questions and considerations for the wedding ceremony:

Time of day for the wedding ceremony; sunrise, early afternoon, or sunset for example.

Type of ceremony; religious or non-denominational civic wedding.

Location/setting of wedding ceremony. Our wedding coordinator will guide you around our property explaining the different options.

Number of guests in wedding party.

Color preferences for decorations, flowers, etc.

Decorations and floral arrangements. A variety of tropical flowers are normally available, other indigenous plants may be woven into decorations such as palm leaf archways highlighted by local blooms.

Bridal bouquet, boutonniere for the groom, bride's and grooms parents and friends.

The wedding cake includes different choices including the traditional black fruit cake or casual chocolate or vanillas. Prices are $75 and up

Live music is available both at the wedding ceremony and during your reception. Options include local Caribbean, soca, reggae type music or traditional Mayan instrumental flute and guitar arrangements.

Custom menus may be arranged with our chef, prices are dependent on menu choices.

Presentations ­ options include plated, sit down dinner, buffet service, hors dŽOeuvres, etc.

A selection of Wines, Sparkling wines and Champagnes will be presented for your approval.

Bar service is available during your reception.

Number of guests in the reception party.

Seating arrangements ­ number of tables, head table if desired, children's table, etc.

Photographer ­ professional photographers are available to record your special day, a meeting may be arranged to discuss your wishes and needs prior to your ceremony.

A basic wedding package for up to four persons is $895.00 USD this is added to the room charges.

Included in this fee is:

License and minister's fee
Small cake for 2-4 people
Island bridal bouquet
Boutonniere
Basic floral arrangements

A late afternoon wedding may mean the minister/judge does not have time to return to Belize City ­ additional cost for accommodation & meals - $ 75.

Other possible costs (in U.S. dollars) - these prices are approximate and serve only as a basis to work with:

Flowers This depends on the quantity of arrangements and bouquets ordered as well as the kind of flower used. Arrangements made from indigenous flowers are $ 35 USD and up per arrangement while arrangements made from roses are $ 45 USD and up per arrangement. For the bride, there are a variety of bouquet options. As an example of some base pricing: the long cascade bouquet ($ 75 USD), the round bouquet ($ 50), and the roses bouquet ($ 50). Boutonnieres are $ 8 USD each and corsages are $ 10 USD each.

Cakes begin at $ 75 USD.

Music consists of two options:

A Caribbean band, $ 400 USD up to 4 hours (small band)

Pablo Callodo, Mayan flutist and classical guitarist ($ 400 USD up to 3 hours).

Dinners are to be arranged with the chef and prices begin at $ 55 USD per person plus 9% sales tax and 20% service charge.

Beach BBQ includes a variety of salads, ceviche, lobster, shrimp, chicken, fresh fruit and desserts, all of which is to be arranged with the chef. It is $ 55-65 USD per person plus 9% sales tax and 20% service charge.

Fees for arrangement and decorating are $ 300 USD and up.
