Initially a family retreat, Bitter
End has evolved into a destination resort featuring eighty-five
shoreside accommodations, three restaurants, a full-service marina
and a world-renown watersports center and sailing school.
Bitter End's colorful atmosphere
and casual, friendly ambiance is more like that of a traditional
Caribbean village, and the staff complements the resort's character
with their cheerful affability and concern for each visitor's
experience.
Bitter End is a "rollicking
nautical village" with 85 shoreside accommodations, three
restaurants and an awesome array of activities. Reachable only by
sea, the resort stretches along a mile of beach and waterfront on
the North Sound -- the most protected and secluded deep water harbor
in the Caribbean.
In addition to all the amenities
and activities of a full service resort, Bitter End is also home to
a full service marina, with dockage, over 70 moorings, where
repairs, provisions and supplies are readily and easily available.
Beachfront Villas
- island-style villas with private wrap-around verandas, hammocks,
refrigerators, telephones, ceiling fans and unobstructed sea views.
North Sound Suites
- air-conditioned, secluded, hillside bungalows with ceiling fans,
refrigerators, telephones, private verandas and panoramic sea views.
Freedom 30 Yachts
- Live-aboard 30-foot sailboats, that sleep up to six.
Estate House
- air conditioned, chalet-style, two-bedroom private house with two
baths, a powder room, dining and living areas, porch and wrap-around
veranda with sea views.
A relaxing day at Bitter End can be spent shoreside. Laze in the
hammock of your own Beachfront Villa, reading. Pull up a lounge by
the pool, enjoy a light lunch midday, and take a dip now and then.
Set off to explore and hike on one of the trails that start and end
at Bitter End. Enjoy one of our three beaches, snorkeling right off
the shore. Or, if you are feeling guilty, take advantage of our
outdoor track with sixteen exercise stations.
Bitter End offers sumptuous dining in the Clubhouse Steak and
Seafood Grille and the English Carbery. Hundred of burgees from all
over the world flutter in the breeze of paddle fans at the
Clubhouse, Bitter End’s landmark restaurant that features generous
buffets and table service for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as
cocktail service on the terrace all day and evening. The Carvery
features lavish themed gourmet buffets including Carvery Night,
Italian Night, and Caribbean Seafood Night. For snacks throughout
the day, rotis, pizza, chicken, burgers from the grill and other
items may be purchased in the English Pub, located at the Emporium,
opposite the Quarterdeck Club and Marina.
Nightly entertainment varies from movies in the Sand Palace to the
live music of local bands to the tall tales told in the Pub over an
after dinner rum. Always check the weekly schedule for details. |
