In the early 1990’s, the owner of the Cuisinart Resort and Spa, Leandro Rizzuto visited the Land Pavilion at EPCOT, Disney World, loved what he saw and said to himself, ‘wouldn’t it be grand to have a ‘state of the art’ food production facility as part of his newly developing resort! Fresh, site grown produce could be served to the guests as well as the facility itself providing a unique opportunity for guests to experience the inside workings of a hydroponics food production facility.
