The cost of the wedding package is $630 and includes the following:

Services of a wedding co-ordinator, marriage officer and witness (if required)

Normal government fees, Registrar costs and ceremony charges

Bouquet of fresh, local garden flowers for the bride

Decorated wedding venue

Boutonniere for the groom

Timing and Legal Requirements

There is no waiting time before a couple can petition the Minister of Justice for a special license to be married in Antigua. The couple will attend before a Marriage Coordinator in the ministry and will complete and sign a declaration at the end of the petition stating that the information given is true and correct.

The hotel wedding coordinator will arrange for the Marriage Officer to come to the hotel to perform the marriage (your transportation to the Ministry of Legal Affairs in St. John’s will be arranged by Guest Services and is included in the cost of the wedding package).  Galley Bay cannot pre-confirm time/date prior to your arrival, however, requests can be made when you book your trip. Only civil ceremonies are legally recognized and they are not performed on weekends or legal holidays.

Required Documentation

Original birth certificates (with raised notary seal) and/or valid passports

Original of the proof of Decree Absolute if one/both of the parties is a divorcee

Original of Death Certificate in the case of a widow/widower

Original proof if name changed by Deed Poll
