Built in 2000, our Caribbean styled resort offers a full array of amenities, spacious accommodations and concierge staff at the ready to make any and all arrangements for our guests. With more beach front than any other resort in the Cayman Islands – 1,600 feet – you’re assured of access to the water. And to the views, of course.

Our Simply All Inclusive meal plan has no strings attached, in other words…SIMPLE! Enjoy a worry free vacation including three meals a day and premium drinks all day from our beach bar and restaurant.

The Reef’s swimming complex features three beautifully landscaped pools, including an infinite edge pool with an adjoining Jacuzzi. A floodlit tennis court lets you serve up a few sets, day or night. And both beach and water volleyball are favorite pastimes here as well.

Through Ocean Frontiers and other local tour and activity providers, all well known to our concierge team, you can take part in a wealth of underwater, on-the-water and by-the-water activities as well.

Dining and Nightlife

After a day of hitting the beach, nothing hits the spot like a great meal and a good time. You’ll find both at The Reef, where fine and casual dining are yours and every night’s a party waiting to happen.

Dine upstairs in air conditioned comfort at Castaways’, where international cuisine and an impressive wine list combined with our uniquely warm island service make for memorable evenings. Don’t forget to catch the inimitable Barefoot Man performing exclusively at Castaways’

Outside on the patio and from the upstairs covered balcony, Hideaway Beach Bar and Grill serves up casual fare with an international flair and a full array of island drinks to help you “chill out”, from mojitos to mango margaritas.

The Reef has long been the home of the legendary Barefoot Man, but we are please to announce that for the upcoming Winter Season both Andrew Bacon and Lammie now also call The Reef home.

Please note that, in keeping with the relaxed nature of Cayman, these guys don’t work all the time, but we have pinned them down to a schedule for the next few months to help you plan ahead.

The Barefoot Man - He's to the Caribbean what Jimmy Buffet is to Key West, but everyone knows him only as "Barefoot." Barefoot is the biggest "B" to hit the island since Blackbeard. No visit to the island is complete without a visit to The Reef to see Barefoot Man offering his unique brand of humorous musical relief and relaxation.

Andrew Bacon - Well known in the East End of Cayman (and beyond!), Andrew Bacon is truly an entertainer extraordinaire. You name it, he can do it, and for this winter season Andrew Bacon is appearing at the Hideaway Beach Bar for a relaxing and fun show twice per week.

Lammie - Another favorite in these parts, Lammie is back live by popular demand at our famous Hideaway Beach Bar at The Reef Resort from 7pm to 10 pm on Thursdays.

A true Reggae ambassador, Lammie’s passion for music and love for people have made him an icon among the people of the Cayman Islands and worldwide. Come and relax to the soothing sound of his melodies and his vast repertoire of classics hits.

Sweeping, unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea are the hallmark of The Reef.  In fact, all of our spacious studio suites and one- and two-bedroom apartments are beachfront. Comfortably furnished and featuring a contemporary island décor, each of these 110 suites and apartments are ready for families and couples alike.

Studio Suites are all beachfront with an area of approximately 450 square feet and their own patio or balcony. Studio Suites accommodate two with king size bed overlooking the Caribbean, full bathroom and kitchenette (mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker). Deluxe Studio Suites are all beachfront with an area of approximately 500 square feet and their own patio or balcony. Deluxe Studios accommodate two with king size four post bed overlooking the Caribbean, full bathroom and separate oversized Jacuzzi tub, as well as a kitchenette (mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker). Kitchen and house ware equipment such as tableware and cutlery are provided. Jacuzzi tubs and four post beds make Deluxe Studios very popular with honeymooners and romantics. One bedroom suites are all beachfront with an area of approximately 900 square feet and their own patio or balcony. One bedroom suites feature a bedroom with king size bed, full bath, full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker), dining area and living room. Two pull out “Murphy” beds in the living area provide for a total sleeping capacity of four. Kitchen and house ware equipment such as tableware, cutlery, cooking utensils and other such articles are provided. Two bedroom suites, which comfortably sleep six people, are all beach front with an area of approximately 1350 square feet plus their own patio or balcony. Two bedroom suites feature two bedrooms (one with king size bed, one with queen size bed) each with full bath, a full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker), dining area and living room. Two pull out “Murphy” beds in the living area provide for a total sleeping capacity of six. Kitchen and house ware equipment such as tableware, cutlery, cooking utensils and other such articles are provided.
