Work or play, whatever your heart desires can be found at The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui.

There are many the exciting island adventures awaiting you on Maui! Whether you want to watch the sunrise from the summit of the 10,000' Haleakala Crater, go snorkeling or on a dinner cruise, take in a traditional luau or go sport fishing, our Activity Consultants have experienced Maui's activities and are happy to share their knowledge of the islands with you.

Snorkeling Tours
Experience the crystal clear waters and abundant marine life on one of the many snorkeling tours available on Maui. Destinations include Coral Gardens, Turtle Town and Molokini Crater to name a few. Molokini Crater is a crescent-shaped volcanic island just off the west coast of Maui, that is one of the top dive sites in the world. Many of the trips include meals, beverages and all equipment. Depending on the season, whale and dolphin sightings can be quite common.

Blue Water Rafting
Snorkel with dolphins, sea turtles and tropical fish while exploring Molokini or the remote Kanaio Coast on this fast, high tech ocean raft. - The 4 Hour Kanaio Coast trip allows you to see dolphin and turtle habitats and snorkel remote caves, pinnacles and bays experienced by few and inaccessible by car. Sightsee the crystalline volcanic formations of Maui's most recent lava flows. Trip includes lunch, beverages and snorkeling gear.
On the 5 Hour Kanaio Coast trip, you'll experience dolphins, sea turtles and sea caves. Cremate snorkeling sights including La Perouse Bay and up to three Molokini snorkel spots are offered on this trip. Trip includes breakfast, lunch, beverages and snorkel gear. - Adults $75.00 Children (ages 4-12) $65.00

Cinderella
Limiting its occupancy to six people, this 50' sailing yacht gives you the feel of having your own private yacht for the day. The primary destination is a secluded coral reef along the spectacular Maui coast, where you can enjoy Green Sea Turtles and some of Maui's most active sea life. All trips include snorkeling equipment, breakfast and lunch with cocktails and beverages. For a magical journey into paradise, come sail with the Cinderella. - Rate: $800.00 per day.

Scuba Diving
Scuba diving in Hawaii can be an exciting, wonderful experience. In Maui County, which includes the Islands of Maui, Lanai, and Molokai, the tiny crescent shaped volcanic island just off Maui's west coast, the diving is plentiful with a lot of variety. Just like anywhere else the local conditions will vary. Generally there is better visibility on boat dives rather than shore dives. However, with shore dives there is more variety. Most (but not all) of the dive boats go to specific areas, sort of a ''known quantity'' for diving. Some of the smaller operations will try to make the experience more memorable, often by being more flexible as to where to dive.

Sportfishing
Test your fishing skills with big game deep sea fishing aboard Coast Guard licensed vessels. With years of experience, your captain will take you to the north shore of Molokai or ''backside'' of Lanai to fish for Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Spearfish, Tuna, Ono (Wahoo), Mahi Mahi and Shark. All equipment is included and charters can be private or shared.

Spa Kea Lani
Your path to well-being begins with a visit to the very private and serene Spa Kea Lani. You'll experience a wealth of nurturing therapies and products from around the world, some unique to Hawaii, each one designed to make you feel and look your best. Conceived as an elegant resort day spa devoted to the pampering of our guests, Spa Kea Lani is staffed by caring and professional licensed estheticians and massage therapists.

The Spa is located in the second floor retail arcade. If you have a preference of male or female therapist, please indicate upon booking. Let the therapist know your preference for deep or gentle pressure. We suggest you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your treatment. Please remember your treatment will end on time so the next client is not inconvenienced.

GOLF

The Wailea Gold Course
The new home course of The Senior Skins Game, the Wailea Gold Course is the most challenging of Wailea's trio. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., it has been ranked among the country's best new courses by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, and one of the world's best designed by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler.

Jones flavored the Gold with elements of classic golf course design, then finished it with a rugged, natural look. Throughout the course are stark lava rock outcroppings, indigenous Hawaiian grasses, an abundance of kiawe (a relative of mesquite), and remnants of papohaku, prehistoric lava rock walls built by early Hawaiians and preserved for their historic value.

The Gold's 200 foot elevation change from top to bottom enhances the numerous ocean and mountain vistas available from virtually every hole. The course has been labeled a ''thinking player's'' course because it demands strategy and careful club selection to be played well.

The Wailea Emerald Course
Rated one of the best new courses by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, as well as one of North America's most women-friendly by Golf for Women, the Wailea Emerald is akin to a lush tropical playground. Flowers bloom in great abundance: plumeria, bird of paradise, allamanda, gazenia, bougainvillea, beach morning glory, ''firecracker'' plants and more.

But don't be fooled by the Emerald's pleasant appearance. It is a superbly designed course created for pure golf enjoyment, regardless of one's handicap. Measuring 6,825 yards from the back, the Emerald features four to six tee boxes on every hole, allowing players to tailor the course to their playing level.

Notable features include a large double green shared by holes #10 and #17. Fronting the green is the only lake on the course. This is perhaps one of the Emerald's more picturesque spots.

The Wailea Blue Course
The first course ever built in Wailea, the stately Blue is a gracious resort course that has been ranked among America's best resort courses by Golf Digest. In its lifetime, it has hosted such prestigious events as the LPGA Women's Kemper Open and Japan's Asahi-Kyosen pro/celebrity golf tournament.

The Blue's fairways offer views of the ocean and Mt. Haleakala, and some of Wailea's stunning residential communities. It features several fountains and lakes, and an abundance of colorful hibiscus, wiliwili trees, bougainvillea and plumeria. The Blue was designed to appeal to a broad range of players. While it has challenged some of the finest professional players in the world, it also offers a measure of forgiveness in its wider fairways and large greens.

Like its sister courses, the worst hazards on the Blue are the visual ones: the sapphire Pacific Ocean (where one can spot humpback whales during the winter months), several offshore islands, a volcanic cinder cone known as Pu'u Olai and majestic Mount Haleakala.

Makena North Course
The North Course is a championship layout featuring hilly terrain and challenging holes. Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed it with an eye on maintaining the environmental and archaeological elements of the area. The result is a very challenging golf course, set amidst an unspoiled Hawaiian landscape.

Makena South Course
The South combines a new and old set of nines, creating a very challenging and scenic layout. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the South draws upon the natural terrain and flora to create a golf course infused with a distinctive character.

Wailea Golf Club
The award-winning Wailea Golf Club is one of the largest and most acclaimed golf facilities in Hawaii. It features three championship courses, two full-service pro shops and the finest outdoor training facility in the Pacific.

TENNIS

Nestled on a slope above the Pacific, the Makena Tennis Club is known for being one of Hawaii's premier tennis destinations.  The club offers an exclusive, private atmosphere; and provides the opportunity to play on six beautifully maintained plexipave courts, two of which are lit for night play.

Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week.  Night play is available until 9:00 p.m. by reservation.  Private lessons, weekly clinics, round robins, player matching, ball machine rental and racquet stringing are also available.

The Makena Tennis Club is located just minutes from The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui.

Wailea Tennis Club
The Wailea Tennis Club is one of the finest tennis facilities in the state, with eleven hard courts, a half-court for practice, a fully stocked pro shop and a staff of USPTA-certified professionals. A recipient of Tennis Magazine's top tennis resorts award for many years, the Wailea Tennis Club creates an environment akin to a ''home away from home'' country club. - Amenities and services include a stadium court large enough to accommodate up to a thousand cheering spectators, a range of activities and lesson programs, complimentary game matching, rental racquets and ball machines, and the latest in equipment, apparel and accessories.
