The Spa
The Hualalai Sports Club and Spa is uniquely Hawaiian, reflecting the aloha spirit of the islands' golden age. The lap pool, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms and cold plunges are all set amidst the tropical gardens. Even exotic spa treatments or massage can be enjoyed in the open air, secluded behind bamboo screens. The locker facilities offer both indoor and outdoor showers. Spa services are available to guests 14 years and older.

In an ongoing effort to provide our guests with the finest fitness options, the Hualalai Sports Club & Spa offers a new Resistance and Strength Studio featuring the latest in workout equipment.

Massage Therapies
Tension Reliever Massage
An efficient massage that incorporates bodywork that reaches the tension retaining areas of muscle tissue: the neck, shoulders, back and feet.

Sports and Fitness Massage
This is a specialized sports massage using aromatherapy oils formulated specifically to help the body eliminate metabolic waste and soothe sore muscles, tendons and ligaments. Helpful in relieving muscle tightness and increasing energy to the areas of the body affected by strenuous workouts and sports.

Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy massage utilizes essential oils, massaged into the body to stimulate self-healing abilities. The aromatherapy oil used is blended especially for Hualalai. This special treatment can assist with stress relief, relaxation and balance. Choose from either Jet Lag, relaxing, Citrus, Exotica or Expecting aromatherapies

Swedish Massage
This is a classic full body massage utilizing the five traditional Swedish strokes along with the unique style of each therapist

Couples Massage
This is available for couples in our specially designed "couples massage hale" (outdoor hut)

Lomi Lomi
Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian massage that connects the heart, mind, body and soul. This sacred healing art, passed down from generation to generation, utilizes rhythmic strokes integrating the use of the forearms and elbows

Stone Treatments

Hualalai Hot Rock Massage
Based in La Stone Therapy, hot and cold stones are placed under and on the body to open the body's energy centers. Then a slow, deeply warming and penetrating massage is performed with heated basalt stones. This massage, in combination with the energy balancing and placement of the hot rocks, stimulates the circulatory system riding the body of tension and stress. The balance and relaxation brought about by this unique treatment leaves you with a feeling of wholeness and peace.

Hot Rock Energy Treatment
A powerful, restorative, refreshing, energy-balancing and grounding treatment integrating La Stone therapy. Hot and cold stones are placed on and underneath the body to open the body's energy centers. The balance brought about by this treatment leaves you with a feeling of complete wholeness and relaxation.

Hualalai Herbal Wrap
This body treatment uses a special herbal combination using hibiscus flowers (hibiscus is the state flower). The body is wrapped in canvas sheets that have been prepared in the special herbal mix, which promotes relaxation and the elimination of toxins. The treatment concludes with a stimulating Vichy shower and scrub.

Hualalai Salt Glo
This is a deep cleansing treatment using a blend of mineral rich salts, Hawaiian red clay and essential oils. All are massaged into the body using light friction for optimum exfoliation. This is followed by an invigorating Vichy shower which leaves the skin smooth and sleek.

Spirulina Body Mask
An aromatherapy oil is applied to the neck and shoulders and followed by a warm rehydrating spirulina mask that is applied from the neck to the feet. The body is then wrapped in warming blankets to enhance the rich algae, protein, vitamin and mineral absorption. After an invigorating Vichy shower, the body is moisturized with leaving it nourished, rehydrated and revitalized.

Dead Sea Mud Mask Body Treatment
This is a luxurious total body treatment designed to detoxify and tone the skin. Following a dry brush exfoliation, the body is painted with a rich mixture of mud. The mask is followed by a warm wrap and a neck and scalp massage. Mud's curative properties and anti-inflammatory action help to draw out impurities and metabolic wastes. As it heals and soothes sore muscles, it replenishes the body with nutrients and minerals.

Rehydrating Aloe Wrap
This body treatment, using a lavender spritz and soothing aloe gel, initiates the rehydrating process for dry or sunburned skin. The full body wrap seals in moisture while allowing deep relaxation. After being unwrapped, one will enjoy a massage of rosehip and aloe rehydrating lotion that leaves skin incredibly soft, smooth and renewed.

Ayurvedic Foot Treatment
A divine Ayurvedic herbal foot bath is followed by a healing, strengthening, balancing and calming foot massage. This ancient foot-bathing technique has been used for thousands of years to reduce stress and calm the spirit. It promotes a deep sense of relaxation and may assist in alleviating insomnia, headaches and "the blues." Excellent for expectant mothers. The treatment also includes a luxurious face, scalp and neck massage.

Premier Therapies

Shiatsu Therapy
Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese total body treatment that incorporates varying rhythms and degrees of pressure to balance the energy flowing through specific pathways in the body. Tension is released, improving circulation and vital organ function.

Craniosacral Therapy
This powerful form of bodywork focuses on the structures housing the central nervous system. A non-invasive manipulation of the craniosacral motions of the body brings movements back in balance. Excellent for addressing the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. CST is beneficial for those suffering from headaches, TMJ syndrome, dizziness, chronic fatigue and hormonal imbalance

Thai Massage
The Thai massage originated over 2,500 years ago. The style is physically stimulating and adjusts the body through deep stretches and rhythmic compressions.

Reiki
This ancient Japanese form of healing is a subtle therapy that focuses energy on the body's problem areas, with the goal of restoring a natural state of harmony. Excellent for stress reduction and the physical, mental and spiritual balancing of the body as a whole.

Acupressure
An ancient healing art that uses the fingers to place pressure on key points of the body to stimulate natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension, promoting the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing. T-shirt and shorts are recommended.

TragerŪ
The TragerŪ approach to tension and stress relief is based on the premise that all physical tension has a corresponding holding pattern in the mind. By moving the body in soothing and deeply relaxing ways, the mind is re-educated with feelings of lightness and ease. This in turn allows a release of the deep-seated patterns of stress in an easy and comfortable manner

Myofascial Release
In the Myofascial Release, pain and stiffness caused by faulty posture and movement patterns is relieved by three-dimensional application of sustained pressure and movement into the fascia (the tissue that envelops the muscle). This release technique is a gentle and effective approach to producing positive and lasting pain-free results. Your therapist may customize this therapy for you to achieve maximum benefits. T-shirt and shorts are recommended

Siddha Abhyangha
Authentic Ayurvedic Abhyangha (massage) in the Siddha tradition originated more than 5,000 years ago. This massage is unique in its use of medicated warm oils and specialized strokes. It promotes well-being in the body, mind and spirit by balancing and strengthening the immune system and soothing the nervous system by opening the energy channels in the body. Lymphatic drainage, the relief of muscle tension and spasms and increased motility to the ligaments and tendons are just a few of the many benefits of this ancient technique

Spa Pure Sauna incorporates a natural approach to body care into a luxurious wrap and massage. Similar to the effects of a sauna, it produces a gradual and pleasant feeling of warmth and well being. A softening body oil and refreshing gel gently purify the skin, leaving it with a new-found softness and radiance. A Vichy shower completes the experience and provides the ultimate in total relaxation

Hualalai Essential Harmony
This exclusive experience utilizes aroma essence to tone and stimulate. Submit to the pure delight of specially selected aromatherapy products as they are gently and therapeutically massaged into the back, face, scalp, neck and shoulders. This luxurious treatment enhances balance and harmony and creates a sense of relaxed well being.

South Seas Sugar Scrub
Nothing makes skin feel softer than a smoothing body scrub, and our sugar scrub is pure decadence! A unique blend of essential oils and coconut and macadamia nut oils are added to pure Hawaiian sugar cane to create a soothingly sweet aura. Warm lehua honey from island bees is drizzled over your body. Your skin is left hydrated and exfoliated.

The Hualalai Deluxe
Experience complete and total relaxation. This package couples two signature treatments together to provide the ultimate in body care experiences. The Hualalai Pure Suana initiates the process, followed by the Hualalai Essential Harmony to ensure that the entire body is left toned, stimulated and relaxed

The Hualalai Mask
This package starts with your choice of the Spirulina or Dead Sea Mud Mask, followed by a stimulating Vichy Shower massage. This treatment concludes with a 50-minute or 80-minute (deluxe) Swedish or Lomi Lomi massage.

The Hualalai Premier
A rejuvenating Hualalai Salt Glo skin treatment followed by a 50-minute or 80-minute (deluxe) classic Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage.
