The Island of
Oahu
More than you
imagined, more than you expected, Oahu is a rich and rewarding
destination. Beyond the turquoise waters, pristine beaches, and
razor-edged mountains, you'll discover a legacy rich in history and
influences from all corners of the Pacific.
Oahu, also
known as "The Gathering Place", offers something for everyone. Whether
your pleasures are beach activities, shopping, hiking through
rainforests, snorkeling or touring museums and botanical gardens, Oahu
offers all this and much more! The island is a study of contrasts -
from the majestic green cliffs of the Ko'olau Mountains to the
crystal-blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, or from the vitality of
Waikiki to the serenity of North Shore beaches - Oahu has it all.
In addition
to the diversity of scenery and experiences, Oahu also offers rich
cultural diversity. Here, you will find a fascinating blend of
eastern, western and Polynesian cultures, which also make Oahu a
unique visitor destination.
Getting
around Oahu is fun and easy, whether it's two wheels, four wheels or
otherwise. You can circle Oahu in less than three hours by car. Or you
can take TheBus, our public transportation system. It's one of the
best ways to experience the local communities and people firsthand.
Honolulu International Airport

“H,” which serves United, Continental, Northwest and American
Airlines. Hours of operation at the airport is from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00
