Executive Chef John Zaner oversees a culinary staff of almost 100 in
the hotel's seven kitchens to ensure an exciting dining experience no

THE BANYAN TREE
The AAA Four Diamond Banyan Tree, with its panoramic views of the
island of Moloka'i and the Paliolo Channel, offers not only a
spectacular location but an extraordinary culinary adventure.
Talented Chef de Cuisine Antony Scholtmeyer, formerly of Snappers
restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, brings
"contemporary Australian cuisine" to the palates of Maui diners, where
he is receiving rave reviews. With his frequent additions to the
menu, The Banyan Tree menu offers something new for first time diners
and return guests as well.
Listen to the live sounds of Ranga Pae, a world-fusion duo who are
masters at playing exotic Pacific Island instruments. Ranga Pae
entertains five nights a week.
Guests may try a five or six-course tasting menu to sample a variety
of Chef Scholtmeyer's unique flavors and experience "umami," the fifth
taste where they come together.
This
restaurant is located centrally in the heart of the resort. Diners
who are not staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua may also park in the
Kumulani Chapel parking lot and walk directly to The Banyan Tree. -
The casual, open atmosphere is enhanced by the unique sounds of Ranga
Pae and views of the Pacific Ocean and Moloka'i. - During the day,
casual beachwear and sports attire are welcome. In the evenings, we

THE TERRACE
Overlooking manicured gardens, the resort's three-tiered pool and the
Pacific Ocean, The Terrace's open air atmosphere brings a fresh start
to a day in Kapalua for breakfast or a relaxed setting for lunch or
dinner.
For
breakfast, the most popular option is the sumptuous Plantation
Breakfast Buffet, the perfect start for a day filled with exciting
adventures in Hawaii.
In
addition, The Terrace restaurant now serves regional Pacific
cuisine in a casual setting for lunch and dinner. The menu features
gourmet pizzas, salads and other regional specialties. The setting
is enhanced by paintings and other pieces created by renowned Village
Gallery artists.

Afternoon Tea
The Ritz-Carlton tradition of afternoon tea is continued at
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. Afternoon Tea is served in The Library,
adjacent to The Lobby Lounge, featuring a selection of delicate
pastries, finger sandwiches and fine teas. Advance reservations are

THE BEACH HOUSE BAR & GRILL
More than 40 fully grown coconut palms form a natural canopy over this
beachfront restaurant located next to D.T. Fleming Beach. Guests
enjoy tropical cocktails while watching the waves, surfers and, from
December to April, whales in the Moloka'i Channel.
The
Beach House Bar & Grill offers local favorites, fresh seafood and
great salads for lunch and cocktails and refreshments. In the
evenings, chef's specialties are served in a backdrop that is
unmatched on the island.

KAI
Kai, the sushi bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, draws its inspiration
as well as its name from the ocean. The ocean, or Kai in
Hawaiian, provides the materials for the renowned and respected sushi
and sashimi.
After
personally selecting the most premium sushi-grade fish, our expert
chefs use traditional techniques and an artful flair to create Maui's
freshest sushi and sashimi.
Located next to The Lobby Lounge, the backdrop for Kai is the view of
the the resort pool and Pacific Ocean. The bar seats 10, where
guests are able to converse with our chefs about their vast knowledge
of sushi, seafood and sake. Kai also has additional seating for 12
at the edge of hotel's Lobby Bar.
The
menu includes more than 20 varieties of the most popular types of
sushi and sashimi as well as daily specials such as the oyster
martini.
Kai
is open nightly for dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
THE LOBBY LOUNGE
With its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, The Lobby Lounge
is the place to view the Maui sunset, enjoy the morning paper
with a fresh coffee or, from December to April, whale-watch.
Featuring complimentary morning coffee and a light menu served
throughout the day, The Lobby Lounge offers an extensive menu of
specialty cocktails, domestic and imported beer and premium spirits.
As a complement to the impressive collection of malt whiskeys and
cognacs, The Lobby Lounge also features a cigar menu.
A
spacious lanai offers outdoor seating or guests may choose to sit
inside to enjoy the entertainment in the evenings.

THE POOL BAR & CAFE
Offering tropical drinks, smoothies, appetizers, sandwiches and

daily, the pool servers present complimentary fresh Maui pineapple to
guests. If you are lounging in the pool, don't worry about being left
out; the servers will enter the water fully dressed to ensure you are
