The sun - "el sol" - runs like a red thread through the fairy tale that is Villa del Sol.

A big wooden sun greets you above the reception desk, ceramic suns are smiling benevolently at you wherever you look, you are always bathed in warm sunshine, and the decor of Villa del Sol's rooms and suites reflects the yellow and red colors of the sun. We allow curious sunbeams to peek through shutters and windows and paint cheerful shadow theater scenes on walls and doors.

We have equipped our rooms and suites with all the amenities that will make your stay with us as pleasant as possible: direct dial phones that let you stay in touch with the outside world, adjustable air conditioning and ceiling fans for a cool head, big fluffy towels for a fun day on the beach and deluxe soaps and shampoos to prevent too much bleached hair afterwards. Comfortable bathrobes and electric hairdryers help you get ready for dinner in style. Satellite television will bring the world to you – only if you really want to – and an electronic safe will protect your passport and crown jewels. By the way, the electricity is 120 volts here in Mexico, which means North American laptops and electric razors work just fine.

Good thing that all the rooms and suites are just steps away from the beach. How else would we be able to lure our guests out of their comfortable little retreats?

Garden Suite
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, separate sitting area, large terrace with hammock and outdoor mini-pool. Each suite has telephone, fax, stereo radio, cassette and CD-player, satellite television, adjustable air-conditioning and ceiling fan, a mini bar and electronic safe.

Beach Suite
One or Two bedrooms ... ranging in size from 650 to 1,800 sq. ft. and located directly on our private beach, Villa del Sol's luxurious beach suites are the shining stars of our resort. Through the use of local materials like twisted tree trunks, palm leaves and pebbles in the exterior architecture and interior design of these two-story villas we set out to create comfortable and luxurious living space that harmonize perfectly with the coastal Pacific surroundings. Each beach suite is individually designed and lovingly decorated either in the warm hues of nature or the vivid colors of the tropics. Most also have an extra large hammock that easily accommodates two. All bedrooms have king sized beds, some of these are canopied. The spacious private terrace with ocean view has an outdoor private mini-pool, exquisite teak furniture and a comfortable double-sized chaise lounge. Some suites have a living rooms with sofas that convert into queen-size beds, and an extra bathroom. The oversized bathrooms are finished with indigenous marble. Presidential Suite
In our most privileged beachfront spot with a fantastic 180 degree view of the entire Zihuatanejo bay, this extremely spacious and luxurious suite has two individually designed bedrooms and two bathrooms finished with indigenous marble. A large open-air living area, intricately tiled with marble and inset natural pebbles, features an enormous wicker daybed, two comfortable seating areas, a complete wet-bar and a gorgeous private mini-pool with a panoramic view of the bay.
